Due to a past history of quality problems with the Channel Master 9521A Motor (drive unit) now being made in China instead of Ohio, we must test each motor before it is shipped. We guarantee that any new motor purchased from us will be in good working condition or we will pay all of the motor shipping costs* and ship you an advanced replacement for the defective motor. When you receive the rotator drive unit (motor) it will be aimed south (180°). When installing, point the antenna true south before tightening the top set of u-bolts/clamps on the rotator drive unit. If desired channels are close to or on opposite sides of the north end stops (0 and 360° on the indoor control unit), rotate the antenna 180° by hand to true north before tightening the top set of u-bolts on the outdoor motor. Note however, that the antenna will then be pointing in the opposite direction from that indicated on the indoor control unit.
